What is "Item"?

Item represents the entity that is being transported and tracked from Point A to Point B, and so on. For example, "1 item" can be equivalent to 1 invoice or 1 parcel, depending on how your business defines it.

Let's say you are using "Invoice"— booking 100 invoices means booking 100 items in Zyllem. Consequently, you can track your deliveries per invoice.

What is "Line Item"?

When booking an item, you can specify line items that are included in that item. It is important to note that although line item information can be viewed in Zyllem, the level of tracking remains to be on the item level.

Using the "invoice" example above, let's say Invoice #1 consists of 12 jackets and 24 shirts. When booking the invoice in Zyllem, you can define 2 line items that belong to Invoice #1:

(Line items)

• 12 Jackets
• 24 Shirts

The definition of "item" can very in every enterprise (e.g. it can be an invoice, a parcel, or an order #, depending on how your business defines it. Please contact your administrator if you are unsure of this definition.

Zyllem allows you to define the quantity of each line item, as well as custom custom properties around it.
